Displacement Meter
i need help with a vectors problem for physics?
A person walks the path shown below. The total trip consists of four straight-line paths.
Path 1 is 70.0 m due east.
Path 2 is 210.0 m due south.
Path 3 is 100.0 m 30.0° south of west.
Path 4 is 180.0 m 60.0° north of west.
At the end of the walk, what is the person’s resultant displacement?
________meters at_______ south of west
in x direction:
X=70-100cos30-180cos60
in y direction
Y=-210-100sin30+180sin60
then make a right angle triangle with X and Y, find the hypoteneuse using A^2=B^2+C^2 and use trigonometry to find angle
