Ohm Cable
what is the difference between the Co-ax cable used for Sky and freeview and the 75 ohm cable used for analog?
Note that these cables are used for tv installations.
The cable connecting the Sky parabola antenna/LNB to the receiver has to be capable of low loss at far higher frequencies than a terrestrial antenna, so the cable has somewhat different characteristics and physical appearance.
Surely, freeview is received from the same transmitter and antenna as the analogue transmissions (although over a much wider bandwidth) so the standard 75 ohm solid copper conductor coax used for the lower bandwidth analogue transmissions is adequate.
