How do i know what ram density mean?
Ok so i looked up my type of ram of 4allmemory.com and i shows that i need 1GB DDR-400 (PC3200) (p/n 335700-001) but the only thing i don’t really don’t understand is when 4 all memory says “Your Compaq Presario Media Center SR2041X only supports modules made with a specific type of chip. Should you find what seems to be the exact same memory elsewhere for a lower price, it is very possible that the CHEAPER MEMORY WILL NOT WORK IN YOUR SYSTEM”.
So does this mean that i need to buy low density ram because its more expensive??
If somebody could answer this question for me i would much appreciate it. Computer i use is Compaq Memory Presario Media Center SR2041X with 4 slots. ty
i dont fully understand what you are asking but DDR 400 ram means that it is the ddr style running at 400 mhz you will not find this ram in any store like best buy you would instaid need to look at newegg.com
as far as it goes aslong as you specify that you want ddr ram at 400mhz then further specify to PC3200 your machine will take it to the extent of its max capacity of ram.
